JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary objective of the Sr. Project Manager is to plan and lead projects to drive the successful and timely integration of acquired/merged business entities into the client organization. The Sr. Project Manager will ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and funding parameters.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct responsibility for large scale Project and Program execution.
- Plan and lead initiative rollout and adoption support. Develop and successfully execute on pilot, training, communication and implementation of new systems and processes.
- Plan and lead integration of new business as the organization grows, and expands into new markets, ensuring smooth transition of people, processes and technology into the Client organization.
- Large scale programs are defined as high cost, high complexity and/or high risk.
- Develop project plans, determine time frame, funding needs, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of resources to various phases of project.
- Agile, client focused, and result driven.
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Develop program communication plan and execution.
- Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
- Develop and submit overall project program status reports.
- Provide strong leadership and judgment.
- Effectively maintain and build relationships across business groups.
- Lead in a matrix, geographically dispersed organization.
- Create a team oriented work climate that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies, establishes collaboration and emphasizes quality and cost.
- Act as liaison to and represent senior management for change impact to program and initiative scope.
- Facilitate senior management decision making within the scope and change management process.
- Participate in senior level program funding and prioritization decision process.
- Support program management of resources.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent education
Experience:
- 8 years of project management experience.
- 8+ years experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
Technical Skills:
- MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VISIO
